CENTRAL AFRICA

Distribution of School Stationery to Children at Harvest Village

harvest village

Harvest Village is a project of Harvest Congo, located in N’sele area about 36 km from N’djili International Airport. Harvest Village sits on twenty-six hectares of land, and we breed pigs, chicken and grow cassava and pineapples. We have stocked poultry and we have a plan to develop a fish pond. Our mission is to have an impact on people living in the surrounding N’sele, Kimpoko and Ngamanzo villages and contribute to their transformation.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the start of the school year was on 7th September. Twelve days later, we members of Harvest staff working in the area mobilised resources in order to help around 123 children of both primary and secondary school with stationery. On that occasion we distributed exercise books, biro pens, pencils and erasers.

This particular project was geared towards the young school-going people. It was desigedn to have an impact in the social and physical areas of human life.

The Harvest Village provides humanitarian assistance among other things. We have conducted activities for the underprivileged single mothers and victimised children, enabling them to access the Word of God, vocational training and social reintegration after conflict.
