On the occasion of Woman International Day, women of the Democratic Republic of Congo, including their daughters, get dressed in loincloth- that is the official dress for the Congolese woman. Mrs. Jeanne Matchuli of 17th CECU Church and an active trainer of the Samaritan Strategy in Congo seized this opportunity to become a "good Samaritan" in favor of Mrs. Eulalie - a non Christian.
Jeanne Matchuli deprived herself of opportunities to help members of her own family in order to show the love of God to a non-Christian neighbour who was in need. She bought a loincloth (6 inches of wax) and laundry soaps to offer them to Mrs. Eulalie, a lady who lives in the neighbourhood and whose living conditions are precarious. Her husband is a security guard. Jeanne did this act of love to help her neighbour to join the rest of the women in the world mark this unique day.
Soap was given for the care of the baby and dresses of other children. On the day of handing over these gifts, Jeanne was accompanied by Mrs. Giselle Yambo, CECU Church pastor's wife of Masina parish in Kinshasa.
According to Mrs. Eulalie: For a long time, I was in search of a church where I could start to pray and serve. Now the Lord has just shown me where. These two women (Jeanne and Giselle) have just demonstrated the love of God for me and my family through their practical acts of love. This is the first time in my life to experience such a visit. I have got grace before the face the Lord. I request you to show me where you pray so that I can join the family of God.
Testimony of Giselle: On Sunday March 6th, 2011 we worshiped together with Eulalie and her three children at our church- praise is given to JESUS the KING. |
