ROAD REPAIR

by Chris Ampadu - December, 2003

Praise the Lord for He is Good and His Mercies endures forever.

Last week was the last semester week for my college and we did a lot of revision of previous weeks lessons. One student pastor shared his experience; his church is located in a high class locality and according to him, drainage has caused a big manhole to be created in the middle of the road such that it has become very risky as someone can easily fall into it and be seriously hurt.

His church has been awaken to their responsibility to the locality as a result of the wholistic teachings such that they decided to buy some gravel, sand and cement to repair this portion of the road.

This seed project was undertaken on Saturday, and as they worked, residents just watched them from afar wondering what they were doing. Some people asked them where they had come from and why they choose to do such a job and they responded by saying that they are from the church and wanted to express God's love to the community since they know very well that nobody will do it since everybody is expecting the government to do the repairs.

Residents were amazed and some came to join in the communal labor and even one family prepared a very good lunch for them all in appreciation for the work executed to the glory of God.
