For the past 3years, my local church has used our BASICS materials for adult bible class. For the last three months, l have had the opportunity of facilitating a 6-day programme for the whole church using our wholistic ministry materials.
I did not know that these teachings have had so much influence on the youth and members of the Church. The youth out of their own contribution bought a generator for the Church as a demonstration of God's love.
On one of the Sundays, a group of young men bought rice and fowls to be distributed to widows, orphans, the poor and needy in the Church. This has never been experienced in the Church before and the district pastor present was shocked and surprised.
Additionally, almost every member of Church brought a gift to be given to a neighbour or someone else in the church. After this, almost every member of the 400-member congregation had a gift for the new year.
The presiding elder said, never in his life and the life of the Church in the district and even the areas has love been visibly expressed to each other like this among members of the congregation.
